Course Overview
 
Infectious dermatology, specifically conditions caused by viral, bacterial, and fungal infections, are very common conditions seen in practice. In this webinar, Dr. Sivamani will discuss different types of infections and how to effectively treat and prevent the infections from returning. He will also discuss the role of the microbiome and how it contributes to a patient’s risk of developing these infections.

BIO
Dr. Raja Sivamani is a board-certified dermatologist and Ayurvedic practitioner. He is on the faculty at UC Davis, California State University-Sacramento and California Northstate University, College of Medicine. He is the director of clinical research at UC Davis as well as the co-director of the Microbiome Research Initiative at CSU-Sacramento. He currently sees patients at his private medical dermatology practice, Pacific Skin Institute, and conducts clinical research with his integrative dermatology practice Zen Dermatology. He has over 10 years of experience in general clinical dermatology.  Dr. Sivamani has published over 110 peer-reviewed research manuscripts with a passion for expanding the evidence and practical application of integrative medicine and dermatology.
