ABOUT THIS SONG There was a song in the late 70's, I believe, by Lou Reed. It had the section where they sand do, do-do, do-do, do-do-do...always enjoyed how catchy and singable it was for me and all those within earshot. So, I thought I would borrow the idea and form something that would empower the teens in a fun way, I incorporated some standard New Though tenets and formed a structure in the vocal key of G so that we could all burst out in do do do when the time came. It worked. It has a catchy melody or two, gets everyone in call and response yeahs, and then meanders around with the infectious do, do do. What's not to like? |
