Course Overview:
Most clinicians report that gastrointestinal complaints are very common in our society. Many patients are given diagnoses like “irritable bowel syndrome” when no clear diagnosis can be made. This presentation is designed to help clinicians screen for small intestinal bacterial overgrowth while emphasizing the strengths and weaknesses of hydrogen and methane breath testing. Conventional, naturopathic and integrative evidence-based treatment protocols will be reviewed in detail. Dr. Rinde will also review valuable clinical pearls for patients who are methane producers and several case studies will be provided.

Understand SIBO in the framework of the mind-gut-immune-endocrine connection.
Understand the latest conventional treatment approaches.
Prescribe evidence-based naturopathic and integrative treatments for SIBO.
