David Duizer, ND

What if you could improve someone’s metabolic rate by 500 calories per day? Is it possible and if so, how and for whom? In this session Dr. Duizer presents his metabolism case series reviewing the impacts of low muscle mass, hypothyroid, iron deficiency, chronic insomnia and sex hormone imbalance on metabolic rate. After testing over 600 individual metabolisms he is primed to share his objective insights and clinical outcomes of evidence-based therapies focused on optimizing metabolic rate to support weight loss and healthy energy reserves.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

  1. Clinical utility of metabolism assessment devices in Naturopathic clinical practices - highlighting chronic disease prevention and management, athletic performance, body composition change, and medication management.
  2. Metabolism data review including heart, lung and muscle metrics; featuring data evaluation, management and tracking principles for patient success.
  3. Understand the effect of common conventional medications on metabolism metrics and adjustment principles. Highlights include dose adjustment resting metabolic rate (RMR) tests, supplement impacts on VO2Max, and lifestyle optimization effects on metrics.
  4. Programming for optimal body composition change including muscle volume increase and peripheral and visceral fat loss and success stories.
  5. Programming for RMR and VO2Max enhancement including rational and evidence and success stories.
