Course Overview:
This presentation will review how to safely and effectively use sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) in your clinical practice. Dr. Psenka will discuss how SLIT works, what types of SLIT formulations are best, patient selection, serum based allergy testing, dosing schedules and how to determine SLIT prescription constituents.

Biography:

Jonathan (aka. Jake) Psenka, ND graduated from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2002. Upon graduating and obtaining his medical license, Dr. Psenka co-founded the Issels Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. In 2007 Dr. Psenka founded and is currently the CMO of Longevity Medical Health Center, a multi-physician naturopathic clinic. In 2010 Dr. Psenka co-founded Serologix, LLC, a medical company offering patient-specific sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) allergy prescriptions for physicians nationwide. He was named a “Top Doc” by Phoenix Magazine in 2010. Dr. Psenka has taught at the university level and has lectured nationally on several topics including sublingual immunotherapy, and integrative cancer therapies. Most recently, Dr. Psenka published “The Seasonal Allergy Solution,” a patient guide to reducing allergies and chronic disease.
