PRESENTATION 1:
Naturopathic Management of Men’s Sexual Dysfunction
by Matthew Cavaiola, ND
Many men experience some form of sexual dysfunction including low libido, erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation. These conditions are often psychologically and emotionally debilitating, many men do not visit their doctor to talk about these issues because of embarrassment and doctors are often not trained to discuss or know how to treat sexual dysfunction in their male patients. Clearly knowledge gaps exist and therefore it is very important that naturopathic practitioners be able to help men overcome sexual dysfunction concerns. After this webinar, attendees will be able to: 1) identify root causes of the most common sexual dysfunction conditions 2) learn how to evaluate a patient using appropriate lab testing and other objective means and 3) take an integrative approach to helping men suffering from sexual dysfunction using nutritional, hormonal and pharmaceutical interventions.
Goals and Objectives:
1. Understand the causes, relationships between and the pharmaceutical treatment options for low libido, erectile dysfunction, ejaculatory and orgasmic dysfunction.
2. Evaluate and track progress of men with sexual dysfunction using subjective evaluation screening tools and lab testing.
3. Prescribe testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) to remedy different forms of sexual dysfunction
4. Use targeted naturopathic interventions including botanicals, vitamins and minerals and other topical or injectable preparations for men with sexual dysfunction.
PRESENTATION 2:
Naturopathic and Ayurvedic Approaches to Neurology
by Virender Sodhi, MD (Ayurved, ND)
Join us for an exploration of Ayurvedic approaches to treating the nervous system. In this lecture, we will discuss how Ayurveda defines the nervous system, what Majja Dhatu means, and how it is influenced by lifestyle, diet, influencing the microbiome, and using specific herbs. Additionally, we will expand and add onto the physical exam using Ayurvedic diagnostic techniques to further refine and tailor treatment of neural conditions using case studies from Dr. Sodhi’s practice.
Goals and Objectives:
1. Understand the nervous system from an Ayurvedic perspective, including similarities and differences between modern medicine and Ayurvedic philosophy.
2. Utilize specific herbal treatments for various neurological conditions. Participants will also be educated on potential herb/drug interactions where applicable.
3. Enhance their diagnostic skills using basic Ayurvedic assessments including pulse, tongue, and other observations and how to apply that information to make targeted herbal, dietary, pharmaceutical, and lifestyle recommendations.
4. Understand the role of the microbiome and its influence in neurological conditions and the historic roots this has in Ayurvedic nervous system treatments.
PRESENTATION 3:

Attendees will be able to implement these treatment strategies on day one to improve their patients’ health outcomes.
Goals and Objectives:
1. Understand different conditions of the pelvic region including vaginitis, hemorrhoids, urinary tract conditions, pelvic pain, and various rectal issues.
2. Look at treatment options for these conditions, including compounded and other conventional pharmaceutical options.
3. Understand how to utilize compounded options that can help improve sexual health.
4. Discuss the importance of inquiring about sensitive topics around pelvic dysfunction with patients.
5. Learn about important practitioners to utilize as referral sources for patients with pelvic dysfunction to create a team of support, which leads to the best possible patient outcomes, particularly with this type of complex and multi-faceted condition.
