Course Overview
This presentation is intended for physicians who have completed their basic IV training and certification and would like further training for advanced and customized IV formulations. Drs. Paul Anderson, ND and Virginia Osborne, ND are leaders in the field of intravenous and intramuscular vitamin and mineral injections. Drs. Anderson and Osborne will review common IM and IV formulas, parameters and safety guidelines. Most important, our esteemed presenters will discuss how to make modifications and customizations to your basic formulas based on your patients’ clinical presentation. This presentation will also include discussions on 5-MTHF, methyl-cobalamin, alpha lipoic acid, and glutathione. They will also review recent regulatory guidelines on sterile and clean techniques, and answer your burning questions on whether or not you need a hood to formulate your injection therapies.

Biography of Dr. Paul Anderson, ND
Paul Anderson, ND is medical director of Anderson Medical Specialty Associates, a clinic focusing on the care of patients with cancer and chronic diseases. Former positions include professor of Pharmacology and Clinical Medicine at Bastyr University and Chief of IV Services for Bastyr Oncology Research Center.  He is a graduate of NCNM and began instructing classes at naturopathic medical schools in the early 1990’s.  He continues to hold board review classes and CME courses for most of the US and Canadian ND programs including BU, NCNM, Boucher Institute, UB, SCNM and CCNM. He also is a founding board member of the Academy of Parenteral Therapies specialty group.

Biography of Dr. Virginia Osborne, ND
Virginia Osborne, ND graduated from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM), Portland, OR in 1995  following a 17 year career as an RN in critical, emergency and cardiac experience. Upon receiving her ND, she has established practices in Colorado, Montana, Oregon and California as an IV therapy Academic Instructor in IV Therapy and Clinical Department Supervisor at NCNM/Natural Health Centers. She has been simultaneously researching and developing research for the use of IV micronutrients in treatment modalities. She is a co-founder of IV Nutritional Therapy for Physicians. Lecturing and developing workshops on IV nutrition, chelation and clinical emergency since 2001, Dr. Osborne is co-author of Parenteral Micronutrient Therapy and is currently working on the next generation book on IV Nutrient Therapies. Founding member and President of the Academy of Parenteral Therapies Specialty group.
