Integrative oncology is an exciting, ever-changing, and increasingly sophisticated specialty to learn and practice. There is a growing need for clinicians that are educated to safely and appropriately care for those diagnosed with cancer. Patients in your practice may already, or at some point in the future, receive an oncology diagnosis. This presentation is designed to provide clinicians, both who already practice integrative oncology and those that do not, with a solid understanding of how to navigate the drugs used in oncology and how to best support their oncology patients going through treatment.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

1. Define a strategy for naturopathic co-management of patients undergoing chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, immunotherapy, and targeted agents.
2. Understand how to approach the pharmacology of new oncologic agents including indications and side effects.
3. Recognize potential herb-drug-nutrient interactions and contra-indications.
4. Identify common integrative oncology interventions for side effect management.
