ABOUT THIS SONG A song about water had to be flowing and delicate, but with a push when needed, as in a thunderstorm that creates a torrent of rushing water. I created the descending motif, like the water flowing down to the sea. It worked. You can trace that water journey, the water cycle, through the verses. This is what water does, the essential life force, too often ignored unless there is not too little, or not too much. Humanity has seemingly forgotten that each is primarily water, and that water is the stuff of energy in motion, emotion.We are united with this substance. The personal in-body pollution is represented outward by the condition of much of the water. The weather cycle is a direct reflection of the emotional state of humans. I know this may sound like a reach, but the Earth is symbiotic to humans, like a mood ring. If we knew to pay attention, we could see the collective state of humanity, particularly the "civilized portion." Is the global warming an actuality from the short-sided actions of humanity, a log weather cycle revisiting, or a direct reflection of the changing times when the collective rage of humans is finally being noticed and is moving outward. We shall see... In the end, water declares her superiority to those who are indifferent. Plants need me, I am the water, animals need me, I am the water, you all need, I am the water, love me...yes it comes down to love. Ultimately it is self love that will open hearts to then send it out via compassion and empathy to the precious Earth, the historical receptacle of our arrogance. Let the healing begin. |
